UPLIFT CONTINUED

As Elisha pledged that he would be with Elijah until the end, be encouraged and don't stop short of the greatness God has for you. Go with God all the way and HE will fulfill His plan in you. Elisha knew when Elijah left this world he wanted to pick up the mantle Elijah would leave behind. As Elijah was swept away in a whirlwind, the mantle fell down to earth. Elisha quickly picked it up and went down to the river to cross back over to the other side.

Elisha showed no concern or doubt that God's power would continue to flow. As he stood by the water and struck it with "His" mantle, the river rolled back. It was down by the river when God showed Elisha He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Whatever you have been asking God for, keep believing. Stay strong and when you feel your heart sinking, get yourself down to the river to be refreshed, renewed and restored.
